Immigration Bill Offering Worker Visa Relief Falters in House

The top supporter of legislation to ease green card access for immigrant workers stuck in years-long backlogs is making a last-ditch play to get the bill on the House floor—but rising pushback and a series of scuttled attempts in recent weeks don’t bode well for the measure.
