Legislation raising the Illinois minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2025 is headed to Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D), who pledged to sign the bill as soon as it hits his desk.
The Illinois House pushed Senate Bill 1 across the finish line Feb. 14 by a vote of 69-47. The vote came just one week after the Senate voted 39-18 to approve the measure.
