Illinois job ads will have to include a salary range and description of benefits starting in 2025, under a new law signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D).
The measure (HB 3129) enacted Friday adds Illinois to a growing list of states mandating pay transparency with the aim of closing the wage gap and helping women and workers of color avoid being underpaid relative to their White, male coworkers.
