Il Fornaio LLC, which owns and operates 20 Italian restaurant locations in California, Colorado, and Nevada, has been sued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for alleged sex-based harassment, according to the agency Wednesday.
The EEOC sued in the US District Court for the Central District of California, saying Il Fornaio allegedly allowed a class of female employees to be subjected to sex-based harassment by male supervisors, managers, and co-workers and then forced them to continue working with the harassers after complaining, a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
