IKEA Accused Again of Bias Against Older Workers in Class Suit

IKEA faces a new class suit accusing the household furniture and goods wholesaler of a corporate culture that discriminates against older workers based on age.

It’s one of six similar cases filed against IKEA in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in little more than a year, William Antonelli says in his March 27 complaint.

Antonelli works as a salesperson at an IKEA store in Pittsburgh. He was passed over for a management position in favor of employees under 40 when the company underwent a reorganization in 2016, he says.
