Koerner Management Group, Inc., which operates IHOP restaurants in Maryland and Virginia, has agreed to pay $125,000 and provide injunctive and non-monetary relief to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit, according to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The agency said that at least two female, teenage employees were subjected to sexual harassment by a male manager, causing them to quit. Despite allegedly being aware of his conduct, KMG did not take appropriate action to stop it, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the EEOC said Thursday.
