International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers members in California ratified separate three-year contracts with the Southern California Edison Co. that cover 4,020 workers, the union announced July 1.
Two primary agreements, ratified by mail-in ballots, take effect retroactively Jan. 1, 2015, and expire Dec. 31, 2017, a spokesman for IBEW Local 47, in Diamond Bar, Calif., told Bloomberg BNA July 2. One contract covers wages and working conditions and includes a total pay increase of 9.25 percent over its three-year term. The other agreement covers general employee benefits.
