IAM Files Federal Antitrust Lawsuit to Halt Closure of Maine Paper Production Plant

The International Association of Machinists Dec. 15 filed a complaint in federal district court alleging Verso Paper Corp. and its subsidiary Verso Paper LLC are violating federal antitrust laws and deliberately planning to hold back millions in severance pay from some of the 500 workers at the Bucksport, Maine, coated printing paper facility (Machinists Local 1821 v. Verso Paper Corp., D. Me., 14-00530, complaint filed 12/15/14).
