Mechanical Design Systems Inc. allegedly paid female project managers less than male project managers, the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission charged in a U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland lawsuit Wednesday.
The EEOC alleged that female project managers at the HVAC design and installation services company were paid between 30% and 50% less than their male colleagues and asked to do additional work, which violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Equal Pay Act of 1963.
