The arrival of nearly half a million people from Ukraine and other countries through humanitarian parole helped stem rising inflation in the US, according to new research.

About a quarter of the decrease in job openings in industries with labor shortages like construction, food services, and retail in 2022 and 2023 could be traced to immigrants who came to the US via the program, researchers from FWD.us and George Mason University found in a report released Monday.
