House Plans NLRB Joint Employer Rule Vote in First Week Back (1)

The House is poised to vote Jan. 12 on a resolution to block the National Labor Relations Board’s new joint employer rule, which has met with loud objections from the several of the nation’s major business groups.

The House Rules Committee will meet Jan. 9 to formalize a vote on the resolution that has been introduced in both chambers under the Congressional Review Act, the House schedule said. Then a floor vote on the resolution is expected three days later, according to Majority Leader Steve Scalise ‘s (R-La.) office.
