House Republicans Call for Dreamer Solution by Year’s End

House Republicans Dec. 5 called on Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to take action by the end of this year to establish a permanent legislative solution for undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children, but the requested deadline may not be achievable.

Thirty-four Republican members of Congress—led by Reps. Scott Taylor (Va.) and Dan Newhouse (Wash.)—signed onto the letter to Ryan.
