Trump’s 401(k) Crypto Order Would Become Law Under House Bill

A proposed House bill seeks to codify President Donald Trump’s recent executive order on facilitating the inclusion of cryptocurrency, private equity, and other off-market investments as retirement plan options.

Rep. Troy Downing (R-Mont.) introduced the one-page Retirement Investment Choice Act, which aims to give Trump’s August order directing the US Labor Department to aid in “democratizing access to alternative assets for 401(k) investors” the force of law.
