A House paid leave working group is seeking to boost workers’ access to paid time off and make it easier for businesses to comply with varying state laws, but stops short of proposing a federal paid leave plan as part of a new proposal.

The bipartisan group on Monday released a list of four “core pillars” that will guide the lawmakers in crafting legislative text over the coming months.
