House Democrats Call for Apprenticeship Subsidies for Employers

Employers that want to offer apprenticeship programs to aid workforce development in a tight labor market would get some funding help under a House bill to be introduced Thursday.

The legislation comes at a time when the workforce is continuing to recover from the peak of the global Covid-19 pandemic and jobless rates are at a record low in some places.
