A class of California hospitality industry workers failed to prove harm in a lawsuit against their health-care fund alleging excessive administrative expenses, a federal judge ruled.
Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer of the Northern District of Illinois granted a motion for summary judgment Tuesday for Unite Here Health, a multiemployer welfare fund that provides benefits to roughly 110,000 workers in the hotel, gaming, and food service industries.
