Hooters Franchisees in Louisiana Settle EEOC Race Bias Lawsuit

The operators of a Hooters franchise in Louisiana will pay $650,000 to resolve an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission lawsuit over employment practices that allegedly discriminated against Black workers.

The EEOC filed a complaint against Hooters of Louisiana LLC, Blue Sky Management Co. LLC, and Gibson Greco and Wood Ltd. in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana July 28, the same day the parties filed a joint motion for a consent decree.
