Home Depot Worker Wage Deal Nixed for Now, but Class Gets Nod

Home Depot U.S.A. Inc. workers lost their bid to move forward with a $750,000 wage-and-hour settlement, but they can pursue a revised deal as a class, a federal judge in California said.

The proposed settlement lacks a mechanism for distributing a portion of the funds to workers, and the proposed class notice doesn’t disclose how workers who opt out of the deal will be bound by the judgment as to one of the claims, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said.
