Home Depot Builds Up Paid Parental Leave Benefit

The Home Depot Inc. updated its parental leave policy to give six weeks of fully paid time off to all parents, plus an additional six weeks to all birth mothers, for a total of 12 weeks’ maternity leave.

The leave is available to salaried, full-time hourly, and part-time hourly employees with one year or more of service who either have a child through birth, adopt, or foster a child, Matthew Harrigan, a spokesman for Home Depot, told Bloomberg Law July 3.
