Healthcare Workers’ $3.2 Million Overtime Deal Approved By Judge

A $3.2 million settlement between Advantage RN, a nationwide hospital staffing company, and more than 400 traveling healthcare workers won final approval from a California federal court, resolving Fair Labor Standards Act and state-law claims for unpaid overtime.

The 237 California class members will split about $1.78 million and the 215 FLSA collective members will divvy up $243,700. Class counsel will receive roughly $1.06 million in attorneys’ fees, plus nearly $30,000 for litigation expenses.
