HealthBridge Ordered to Give Fired Strikers 12 Years of Back Pay

A series of nursing homes in Connecticut must compensate former workers for nearly 12 years of missed wages after a National Labor Relations Board judge found they were illegally replaced after striking and committed a slew of other violations.

HealthBridge Management LLC and Care One Management LLC, which jointly operate multiple nursing homes and long-term care facilities across the country, violated federal labor law by refusing to bargain in good faith, locking out workers, bypassing the union, and permanently replacing union members who went on strike, NLRB Administrative Law Judge Chu ruled Wednesday.
