A former Harvard University professor didn’t prove that sex bias or her opposition to an alleged “toxic culture of gender discrimination and sexual misconduct” on campus led to a denial of tenure, the First Circuit ruled.
Kimberly Theidon didn’t present enough evidence to dispute Harvard’s stated reasons for denying her tenure, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit said. Theidon began teaching at Harvard in 2004, and was an associate professor in its Anthropology Department before joining Tufts University in 2014.
