The owner of the Atlantic City Hard Rock Hotel and Casino has settled a race discrimination lawsuit filed by a former security supervisor, the parties informed a federal court in New Jersey.
James Dunston was fired following a physical confrontation with a drunk and aggressive customer. Dunston alleged a white security supervisor was treated more favorably due to his race when he wasn’t fired by Boardwalk 1000 LLC despite a similar altercation with a casino patron just two days earlier.
