Hamilton College Faces Trial in Pregnant Workers’ Vax Suits (1)

A New York federal judge rejected Hamilton College’s request not to send to trial two employees’ lawsuits claiming they were wrongfully terminated after the school denied their request to delay getting vaccinated for Covid-19 due to pregnancy concerns.

Judge David Hurd of the US District Court for the Northern District of New York denied Hamilton’s motions for summary judgment in Samantha O’Neil and Vanessa Colangelo’s lawsuits Friday because its defenses to the employment discrimination and wrongful termination claims relied on declarations not made under penalty of perjury, as required by court rules.
