Halliburton Promised to Rehire Worker Under Bias Pact With U.S.

Halliburton Energy Services likely breached an agreement it entered with the U.S. government settling a job bias charge against the company. It did so by failing to rehire the worker who filed the charge, a federal judge ruled.

The June 12 ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi highlights the importance the specific words used in an employment discrimination settlement agreement may carry for employees and employers.
