H&M, California Retail Workers Reach $3.8 Million Wage Deal

An estimated 13,500 H&M retail employees in California asked a federal court to certify a class and approve a $3.8 million settlement resolving various state-law wage and breaks claims.

The class members will split about $2.15 million, and don’t need to submit claims to receive payment, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary settlement approval filed March 6. Members will be identified through H&M payroll records.
