H-1B Visa Cap Reached Following First-Ever Online Registration

The annual cap for H-1B high-skilled guestworkers has been reached for fiscal year 2021, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced.

Employers registered through an online system for the first time this year from March 1 to 20. The USCIS conducted a random selection lottery from registrations that had been submitted properly, the agency said Friday.

Registrants selected in the lottery will be notified by March 31 that they’re eligible to file an H-1B cap-subject petition for the beneficiary named in the selected registration, USCIS said.
