Grandvision Underpays ‘For Eyes’ Store Managers, Lawsuit Says

A former For Eyes store manager alleges that the optical retailer’s parent company and three subsidiaries are all liable for Fair Labor Standards Act overtime violations, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Illinois federal court.

Mesha Smith, who managed two For Eyes stores in Illinois, alleges that she regularly worked more than 40 hours per week but never received overtime pay.

She sued GrandVision USA Inc. and three For Eyes Optical subsidiaries in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, seeking to represent other managers employed at For Eyes stores across the U.S., except in California. ...
