GOP States Clear Standing Test in Battle Over Immigrant Parole

A ruling against a program offering immigration relief to family members of US citizens dealt a blow to immigrant advocates who have argued that GOP states should face a tougher test to prove standing in challenges to federal policies.

A Texas federal judge on Thursday struck down the Biden administration’s Keeping Families Together program, launched in August to offer a pathway for about half a million spouses of US citizens and another 50,000 stepchildren without authorized immigrant status to remain in the country and secure work permits while applying for green cards.
