The ranking member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee is seeking clarity from the EEOC about its anti-bias enforcement following the US Supreme Court’s new standard strengthening protections for workplace religious accommodations.
Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) in a letter Thursday asked Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Chair Charlotte Burrows to “to ensure employers are afforded clear guidance and a thorough understanding of their legal obligations when addressing requests from employees for religious accommodations.”
