Google Shuttle Drivers Gain Teamsters Representation

A group of 110 workers who drive shuttle buses for Google Inc. employees in the San Francisco Bay area gained International Brotherhood of Teamsters representation through a card-check recognition process, the union announced March 5.

The drivers are employed by WeDriveU, which is one of several companies providing employee shuttle service for Bay Area technology firms.

The Teamsters has been actively organizing drivers for shuttle bus companies since 2014 and has achieved contracts with Compass Transportation Inc. 20 COBB 180, 12/3/15, 225 DLR A-11, 11/23/15, 29 LRW 2410, 11/25/15 and Loop Transportation 35 DLR A-12, 2/23/15, 04 SMLR, 2/24/15, 29 LRW 376, 2/25/15, 69 ULR 38, 2/27/15
