Google Must Face Female Employee’s Sex Bias, Retaliation Claims

A female employee in Google LLC’s New York office may proceed with her claim that the tech giant discriminated against her on account of her sex in violation of state law, a federal trial court said.

Google’s explanation for why it treated Ulku Rowe the way it did was insufficient to refute her allegations on a motion for summary judgment, the opinion by Judge Lorna G. Schofield of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said Monday.
