Goldman Wins Limits on Claims of Gender Bias in Job Reviews (2)

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. succeeded in narrowing a long-running class action lawsuit alleging women bankers faced systematic discrimination in promotion and compensation.

A federal judge in Manhattan on Thursday ruled in favor of Goldman on claims relating to the bank’s 360 review process from 2002 to 2004 and for both 360 reviews and the so-called quartiling process after 2015, saying there was insufficient evidence of bias during those years.

In granting summary judgment to Goldman on those claims, U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres said 360 reviews weren’t fully implemented during the earlier period and that changes to the review process ...
