Golden Gate Bridge Operators Update OSHA Scaffold Letter Lawsuit

The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration violated administrative law procedures when it revised an interpretation for temporary scaffolding designs, operators of California’s Golden Gate Bridge said in an amended lawsuit.

The agency failed to satisfy the Administrative Procedure Act’s notice-and-comment requirements before amending a 2020 interpretative letter that eased the implementation of a long-standing scaffolding safety standard, according to a revised complaint filed Nov. 15 in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
