Golden Corral Franchisee Settles Suit With HIV-Positive Worker

A former Golden Corral management trainee who alleged he was denied a job accommodation and fired after disclosing he is HIV positive settled his bias lawsuit against the franchise’s owner, according to filings in an Arkansas federal court.

Terms of the settlement weren’t included in the order of dismissal entered Dec. 9 by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas.

The settlement comes approximately one month after Judge Timothy L. Brooks rejected a bid by Golden Partners Inc. to dismiss Jimmy Davis’s case before it reached trial. Golden Partners is the owner of the Rogers, Ark., restaurant ...
