GoJet Pilot Gets $375K in FMLA Case, Front Pay Still Up in Air

A diabetic former GoJet Airlines LLC pilot is entitled to $375,810 for the airline’s violation of his rights to protected medical leave, a federal judge ruled.

And John Cloutier also is owed more to compensate him for the difference between what he is able to make going forward in his new job with SkyWest and what he would have made had he remained with GoJet until his mandatory retirement in June 2023, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Jan. 4.
