Glassdoor Inc., which operates a website where employees anonymously review their employers, must comply with a subpoena calling on it to disclose information about certain users, a federal appeals court ruled.
A grand jury is probing whether a government contractor committed wire fraud or misused government funds. It issued a subpoena to Glassdoor to produce identifying information about users whose reviews included information that may describe waste, fraud, or abuse at the company, which the court didn’t identify in order to preserve the secrecy of the grand jury process.
