Car sharing service Getaround Inc. failed to pay hourly workers required wages and to provide rest and meal breaks, among other labor code violations, a suit filed in California state court alleges.
The platform, which allows drivers to rent cars from private owners, and owners to rent out their vehicles for payment, hired named class member Andy Kenarki as a brand ambassador in 2016, according to the complaint filed Thursday in Los Angeles.
