Georgetown, Brown Grad Students to Hold Union Elections

Graduate students who work as teaching and research assistants at Georgetown University and Brown University will decide whether to unionize later this fall in elections that were arranged outside of the NLRB process.

American Federation of Teachers affiliates reached agreements with the universities earlier this year to hold unionization votes, which will be overseen by the American Arbitration Association, the AFT said in an Oct. 11 news release.
