Geodis’ Alleged Breach Let NLRB Official Partially Revoke Deal

A logistics company’s failure to comply with a National Labor Relations Board settlement allowed an agency official to revoke only part of the deal rather than the entire agreement, the board ruled.

The NLRB in a 2-1 ruling Tuesday reversed an administrative law judge’s order prohibiting a regional director from setting aside part of the agreement between Geodis Logistics LLP and the United Steelworkers. Reading the agreement to allow the company to undo the entire settlement at will and force the NLRB prosecutors to resume litigation over the whole case is unreasonable, the board said.
