Gentlemen’s Club Settles Dancers’ Wage Suit for $1.5 Million

A $1.5 million settlement reached in a class action wage suit between dancers and a gentlemen’s club in Myrtle Beach., S.C., was approved by a federal district court June 11.

The class included all dancers who worked at Masters Gentlemen’s Club between Dec. 4, 2010, and Feb. 7, 2019. The complaint alleged the club violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by not paying dancers minimum wages, requiring them to work over 40 hours a week and not giving them overtime pay, and by taking a portion of their tips.
