Frontier Communications Workers in Texas Unionize

Frontier Communications employees who work from home in the Allen, Texas, area joined the Communications Workers of America, a union official told Bloomberg Law.

Texas is a right-to-work state, which makes this election a major organizing victory for CWA, Travis Pirotte, Local 6171’s president, said.

Local 6171 represents about 1,500 other Frontier workers across the state. Those workers were already unionized when Frontier bought broadband and landline services in three states from Verizon in 2016.
