Freelancers Want Ninth Circuit to Take Up A.B. 5 Challenge

Freelance journalists and photographers in California want the Ninth Circuit to overturn a judge’s order denying their attempt to block enforcement of a worker classification law they argue restricts freedom of speech.

A lawsuit brought by the American Society of Journalists and Authors and the National Press Photographers Association previously asked a federal court to block enforcement of Assembly Bill 5 against freelancers.
