A former tenured associate professor of Fordham University’s School of Business can revive some of her claims of age bias and retaliation after she was terminated for allegedly complaining about wage disparities, the Second Circuit ruled.
Esther Solomon alleged the university paid her less than younger, male, non-Jewish members of the predominantly male faculty whom the university also allegedly favored for promotions, the court said. Solomon also alleged the university created a hostile work environment, and when she complained about the wage disparity, it retaliated against her.
