Robert De Niro and his production company must face trial on a female former employee’s claims that she was subjected to sex discrimination and stripped of job duties and an assistant for complaining about sex bias.
The May 25 ruling by the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, which was unsealed in a modified order on Monday, otherwise granted summary judgment against Graham Chase Robinson, disposing of claims that the two-time Academy Award winner and Canal Productions Inc. retaliated against her in violation of federal and state wage laws and New York City anti-discrimination law.
