Foreign Students Challenge Mass Visa Revocations in New Suit

A federal judge should reinstate international student visas terminated in a coordinated campaign by the State and Homeland Security departments, a group of 150 foreign students argue in a new lawsuit obtained by Bloomberg Law.

Their case is the latest to challenge the lawfulness of visa revocations by the State Department, which have generally been seen as off limits for court scrutiny. But their complaint, filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia, argues that’s only true of individual visa decisions—not blanket cancellations.
