Foreign Service Labor Union Sues to Protect Worker Contracts

The Trump administration is facing another lawsuit over its order to cancel federal workers’ collective bargaining agreements.

The American Foreign Service Association filed its lawsuit in the US District Court for the District of Columbia Monday, alleging that voiding the workers’ contract violates federal labor statues.

The union represents 18,000 active duty foreign service members employed by the State Department and the US Agency for International Development.
