Fluor Wins Bid to Get Employee’s Injury Suit Dismissed in Texas

Fluor Corp. won a bid to dismiss an employee’s negligence suit when an appeals court in Texas reversed a trial court’s ruling that the worker’s child could intervene in the case.

Juan Gomez Lopez was injured in an explosion while working in Mexico at a chemical plant owned by Vinilo, which had a contract with Fluor’s Mexican susidiary to perform work at the site.
