A police union lost its bid to block a Connecticut law designed to promote transparency and accountability in law enforcement that was passed in response to nationwide protests over a Minneapolis police officer’s murder of George Floyd.
The Connecticut State Police Union shouldn’t get a preliminary injunction freezing the law because it couldn’t prevail on the merits of its constitutional challenge, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said in its ruling Thursday.
