A federal judge signed off on Flowers Foods Inc.'s $9 million offer to settle a dozen wage and hour lawsuits brought by delivery drivers who say the company misclassified them as independent contractors.
The settlement will cover about 900 drivers who claimed to be entitled to overtime wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Judge Thomas Anderson said in his Feb. 27 opinion for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.
